Mushroom Tomato Pasta Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon double concentrate tomato paste
- 6 medium garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 lbs button mushrooms, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 6 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the skillet over moderate heat then add in the olive oil. Add in the garlic and sute it for 2 minutes until tender.
2. Add in the sliced mushrooms and saute them over high heat for 10 minutes until they begin to brown around the edges.
3. Before add in the tomatoes, make sure you break them apart. Add in the tomato paste, parsley, sugar and salt. Combine and mix well.
4. Let it simmer for another 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5. Pour the sauce over cooked pasta. Enjoy!
